I'd like to buy a VSM that I can get cheap from a friend on the E46 board. He says it's plug and play into the Nav system.. But I have NO, NADIA, ZIPPO, experience with this option.

Can anyone who has done so, give me an idea of how big a challenge it is..?

FWIW, my car is non-DSP, factory Nav, no sirius, or anything else that might get in the way on an 06 X5 3.0..

PS. Is this something maybe I could get a hand with between shots of Patron at the Crabshack.. any special tools I need to bring along..?
