Sony DSC-T1. I'm actually quite impressed with the picture quality considering how freakishly small the lens is (sony camera). It takes pretty decent photos from 3-5 feet away. Any further than that, photo quality diminishes rapidly with distance especially if there isn't enough light (flash becomes useless). Started with an Canon S400, then to a sd10, then to a sony, then I'm finally going back to the Canon. The S400 did serve me well. I hope the SD550 would do as well, if not, better. Judging by the reviews from magazines and the feedback given by members of x5world, I don't think I have much to worry with the quality and performance of canon cameras. My opinion, the best smallest compact, pocket sized, cameras are made by canon. The Carl Zeiss lens of sony is suppose to be good but they haven't come up with a camera that is similar to the dimensions of the sd series of canon and that also produces the same kind of high quality photos.
