CF: It's a Comcast DVR/HD unit: Scientific Atlanta Brand, Model Explorer 8300HD, fwiw.
Lil'light in front lights up with time, channel # and it also reads: HD/1080. I use "its" flipper to change channels and adj vol.

SG: I didn't kill myself hunting up a DVD player...I had heard good stuff about the Panasonic 97S, but no one had one around here, handy. So, I settled for a Samsung HD850: has 1080 capability, upconverts, plugged in via HDMI cable, etc. For the dozen times per year we watch a DVD, it wil suffice, I think. A buck 29 vs the 280 for the Panny. I'm buring through the fooking dough. I may have to get V to unretire,

I have boring house pics, posted back in Oct., but I'll toss some up again, later today. It is truly a Seasonal Starter Shack. And, I gotta find a new Canon camera to 'Puter cable to upload any new pics I take here.
The TV pic is ok to v. good on the non-HD stations; I know it will require some adjustment and maybe a visit by a high tech TV adjuster guy.
Any opins are welcome, but less is more, adj-wise, as yours truly is not exactly a former EE, or techie,
