The extended maintenance deal had to go up in price, over time, imo.
I paid $1200 for a year's worth, way back in Oct '05, but only got
brakes and one dlr oil change out of the deal; maybe it was worth it,
but probably not.

Yes, I think "warranty" would be more comforting to most here, but
YMMV...

jaijai: a four wheel brake job may run $2Gs at a metro NYC dlr, but
it can be done much less expensively at any Indy, even in metro NY
area, imo. So, for an oil change and a potential brake job, it seems
like a pricey "insurance coverage".

As Meister noted, there are dlrs willing to give up some of the large
profit margin in selling "Maintenance".
