According to various published reports, Intel and BMW have signed a far-reaching deal. Intel will not only sponsor BMW's F1 race team, they will also work with BMW to "standardise the technology infrastructure at BMW's worldwide data centres and migrate employees to Intel-based laptops and personal digital assistants. The companies also agreed to develop technology allowing seamless integration of portable devices, including cell phones and media players, into BMW vehicles."

This could be yet another leap forward in the merger of geekdom and motorheads!
