Having lived on the autobahn and driven on race circuits I really don't know what you mean by "pin the throttle." Speed limit is 65 anywhere in the US and the roads are pure shit. While that car is perfectly comfortable at 100 mph, that is also a big ticket, serious points, maybe suspended license and impounded car, possibly jail and could even be a felony, certainly if something happened. So overkill, most definitely yes.

Go with the x5m. I personally do not like the styling of the x6(m). Throw some winter tires on there for the ski trips and try to get over the fact that your two ton plus truck is faster than your bond mobile. |
