I'd suggest Klipsch - for the money they are hard to beat.
Got our speakers hooked up to a Yamaha HTR as well - worked out very well - especially pleased with the multi ch input which is perfect for true 5.1 from the PC
Our front speakers are Synergy F2's. Most serious audiophiles say their weak point is classical music - but I am not capable enough to make that distinction - just know they sound good to me
Don't think they make them any more - but would definatly get their newer models today if I had to.
