That is very old, you wont be able to use the 2010-1 disc as hat version wont read dual layer discs, so you need to update your OS, burn a v32 to a cd and update it.

Black or white refer to the cap that sit on the cd laser unit inside the dvd drive, (and can't be seen from the outside (even with the lid off).
