PasPar2, thanks for the link tip. Mainly comments regarding looks and spec of the new model, but on page 42 "rans09vert" says: "I drove an X6 50i. I first drove a 2010 X5 4.8i, and then the X6 50i, back to back to compare. X6 is basically the same from the front seat forward. Same motor and hp, and about the same weight. Loved the power of the 4.8. But the 4.4 twin turbo is tremendously stronger. It is a true low 5 second 0-60, maybe faster! It is pretty darm close to an X5M. Night and day over the 2010 4.8i, of which I had an order, cancelled, and ordered the 2011." Exactly the type of info I was looking for!

I have a V10 Diesel Touareg with 559 lbs-ft torque. Nothing compares with it. The 3.5d it not even close. The 4.4 Turbo engine is really quick. I test drove it and off the line maybe its a little off the V10, but after 30 mph would have passed it for sure, had to have one, my wife's 2008 4.8 does not feel nearly as fast as the new engine.
