I've seen the older style analogue TV tuners cheaper now on Ebay. I purchased mine for the E83 for about $75 last year (used). The only concern is the size. The bracket on OEM includes the tuner piece but doesn't include the Sirius piece. My BT module is mounted on the bottom of the compartment to the floor of it. I brought in a copy of the OEM parts picture to dealer last year and he said he couldn't find it stating that it might be available in Europe only. It is very tight right now with both the Sirius module and computer video interface. Highligted in the first picture is the USB IBUS and behind it to the right is the "old" but very small GNET video interface. I "could" just leave the video OEM module sitting on the floor of the compartment to test it....Just need a cable with aux video inputs and backup wire. (have one for the E46).

Historically I've used a "trim tool" to remove door panels. I still end up breaking a couple of the plastic tabs (this was on a GM vehicle though - never removed door trim from a BMW.

I was going to try seeing what the "view" of the camera is from below the bumper. I understand it will not be as good but after seeing what needs to be done with the license plate light frame cam mounting it might be a bit easier.

What is the typical price for the OEM video module? My computer interface was about $200 plus Euro. Originally had a very small module (GNAV?) from Canada and the adjustment pots on it fell off. (not touching them - maybe affected by the heat?). The GNAV interface had provisions for two AUX analogue video inputs.
