I saw the link, and thought no, that is a Canadian publication, not British, and we don't have the X1 yet. But the title line sounds like a Jeremy Clarkson rant.

So, it was Jeremy Clarkson, doing freelance work for Wheels.ca. Should have known. "The BMW diesel sounds like a dumptruck". Hmmm. Standard Clarkson.
