I've also had a Tunit box fitted since new and the car feels pretty good but flat with the box removed.
I've covered 26000 miles since March 05 and can't find a reason to change to a 4.4 or 4.8. I would obviously want to for the V8 etc but covering the milage I do in a year the fuel bills would be huge (if I want to drive like a nutter I take out the 996
).
The main benefit of a box is it's removable and there is no trace as far as the dealer is concerned.
