Hey! Long time no see you post. Thanks for the input That is a nice unit but it is the price of a nice rifle.
I am still on the hunt and am looking for something 3000W continuous running watts and up. There are lots to choose from on the 3000-5000W range. I don't need it to be "throw in the trunk" portable as it will be something that can stay in place. I believe that in the event of an earthquake I will be able to at least stay on my property even if the house is not safe so my plan is to shelter-in-place. I'm not in an urban area where I'd need to bug out.
I've been in disaster preparedness mode lately (including anti-zombie tools) but that is a whole different thread.
