I heard the normal system in a 2011 X5 that I test drove up here in Toronto and it really wasn't that good. While you crank up the bass and treble, there is still way too much mid-range to make it sound decent. I did order premium sound (but didn't hear one) so the fact that an equalizer is present should help along with the 10 extra speakers and power boost.
