See, this is where the line gets blurred. The link I provided above is for Black owned and operated.com. This is there info and mission statement;
BOandO, an acronym for “Black Owned and Operated” is an online consumer and business resource that EXCLUSIVELY PROMOTES, PROFILES, REFERS and ADVOCTATE on behalf of Black Owned or Controlled Businesses, Corporations, Organizations and Institutions.
Our mission is Black Economic Empowerment through business ownership and the significant redirection of Black Consumer Dollars back into the Black Business Community.
At BOANDO, we are unapologetically focused on our own self-interest and elevation up the socio-economic ladder. We are committed to improving our Quality of Life and Building Wealth for Future Generations. To level the playing field and give our Children, Grand-Children, Great Grand-Children the resources they need to compete and succeed in life. We are also here to celebrate the accomplishments of Blacks in America and proudly proclaim that when we Work as a Group, United in Purpose we possess the Intellectual and Financial Capital, Character and Drive to overcome any obstacle and achieve any objective which our history in this country can atest to.
It is not our intention to make visitors to our site feel uncomfortable but for those that do, both Black and Non-Black, I need to make it unequivocally clear that BOandO is not Anti-White, Anti-Yellow Anti-Brown or Anti-Red, BOandO is however emphatically Pro-Black and extremely Pro-Green. In the immortal words of Cuba Gooding Jr,, "show me the money". In a nutshell BOANDO is about Black Economic Empowerment. Not racism. Please, whatever you do, don't get these two points misconstrued.
So, it sure seems to me that when a black group wants to exclude races for advancement of their own race, it is acceptable. However, when a white group wants to exclude others it is segregation. Doesn't seem very fair to me.
