I also vote for a puncture kit and small pump...we've used one twice on long m'cycle rides, cross country, (not my scoot, but I helped, lol!)

In every puncture I've had in car tires, or scoot tires, for the past 47 years, the nail or sharp object, has always been readily apparent. No need for soap.
Modern puncture kits work like a charm and will get you to where you need to go. Slime practicability is a dream/myth in terms of real world fix, from the
three times I've seen it used...
