These DVDs are rather steep considering those portable units have upgrades, which have better functionality, for less than $200. I have version 14 and wouldn't mind upgrading to the latest one.
There is a way around the steep prices but errrr not quite kosher. You could get a few friends together who need the same disk and sort of do a 'group buy'. They are very easy to 'back up'....
