Just returned from a short business-related trip to Florida, using stepfather's 2010 X5d (we were both driving it). Here's some random statistics:
Miles driven: about 2700 (no precise count, trip counter was reset a couple of times) in 7 days.
Average highway driving speed: 85 mph
Average fuel consumption (according to car's computer): 24 mpg
Times being stopped by police: 0
We also had to add 1qt of oil and 1 bottle of DEF fluid at a random dealership in FL due to warning messages displayed on iDrive but I consider it normal since the car already had about 8500 miles on it before the trip and will require an oil change (according to iDrive) in about 500 miles from now.
All in all we had 0 issues aside from topping off various fluids and I was pretty satisfied with the way the car performed during various speed ranges and weather conditions (we experienced a very heavy rain when passing through Georgia).
