I was thinking of doing the exact same thing, but was too chicken!

I was also thinking of having he resonators taken out and putting an x-pipe in there. That helps with the raspy sound.

I was going to make it so that if I didn't like the sound, I could just put the resonators back in. The setup that I was thinking of would be like using a set of off road pipes in where the cats go (on a race car of course ), using band exhaust type clamps.
