I've had that argument with our parts guys before. They sent out 5 gallons, I requested more and they said BMWNA didn't want to pay for 3 bottles because it leaves a gallon unused. I told the parts manager it isn't the service departments fault/problem and shouldn't be the customers problem. BMW needs to source 2 gallon or 3.25 gallon containers if they want the right amounts.

Been a while since I've done this so I need to ask if they got this straightened out ad what is currently allowed.

If BMW doesn't want to pay for an extra gallon of DEF they need to source the DEF in containers that add up to 6.5 gallons. It takes SIX 35d DEF flush and fills to completely eliminate 'waste' using the current 2.5 gal containers.

To put this in perspective, a gallon of DEF at VW and other reputable sources, costs well under $10 RETAIL. Now think about the value of jgf330xi's and the dealer's time to resolve this - DUH.
