Isn't that the essence of democracy? The elected officials carry out the will of the people. It is not democracy if they get to Washington and decide for themselves what we want. "They elected me to do the thinking for them" doesn't work in this day of high speed communications.
We must push to change the way the world works. Not by force, by ideas.
