Pprior to struggling to get the box in the car (its now up in the chassis but held in with 4 bolts before it got too dark...), i checked the chain through the drain hole.
Nice n tight with very minimal play.
Fluid that came out was still reasonably red and clear so happy it will be OK for while yet.
