Plastic coloured piece? If so, VERY gently prises off, held with plastic retainers that click off and then snap back into place. A small flathead screwdriver should help, but be careful not to damage the paint finish and start on the outer most vertical edge.

The lever needs to be glued back to form that pivot action. You'll see it's obvious once you get it out.
