had this problem, fixed it using that link's info.
basically pull off the painted portion of the mirror using these instructions http://www.xoutpost.com/attachments/...g?d=1172692777

then one you get the mirror trim off, follow the cables around til you find the switch, slide the switch out from its hiding spot. the switch should have a flat metal peice with a U shape at the end of it, kinda like a little dipper. make the U portion of the metal hinge thing less of a U and there you go. put back together half way and test it first.

i did only my driver's side and it fixed the problem.
