bump...i'm interested in this as well. complained about this recently and had the rear hatch trim replaced under warranty, which is what's prescribed by a bmw tsb. unfortunately, this fix has not remedied the problem.

fullfast, just curious...is it a rather loud knock when you ride over a bump? mine is pretty loud and at first i thought it was the body torquing over uneven bumps, which it might be.

regardless, this shouldn't happen in a $65k vehicle. anyone else had success in eliminating this knocking sound?
