Sorry, guys for posting, but i have read many posts and am still confused as to where my BT module is, or even if i have one.
I have a telephone option on my nav screen, have the sos button on the header and my phone will locate my car in pair mode and ask for the passkey, but unfortunately i bought my 2005 X3 CPO and never had the passkey.
I've read many threads and tried to locate the BT module in the cargo area but am still confused.
I've attached a pic of what my cargo area looks like...
I know i have my nav system in black in the main area, my amp is top right, and there is a silver box under the navigation unit.
Is that the BT module? I tried taking out the two front screws on this unit, which made it looser, but still couldn't get it out to look at properly. Any ideas?
I've read posts that said it should be under the cargo floor, but as you can see i would have to dismantle most of the cargo area to get at it if true.
Is it possible for my phone to locate the head unit, but not have the BT module?
I asked my local BMW dealer if they could look at this for me, but they wanted to charge me $200 for doing it, so I've been trying to figure this out on and off for a year now, so any help would be great
