You may want to list your sizes as well as certain tires are not available in every size.
I had the original Toyo Proxes S/T's in sizes 255/50/19 and 285/45/19. They lasted over 40,000 miles and were fantastic tires. Great in rain as well as dry and had one of the best looking sidewalls on any tire available for the X, imo. Only drawback was noise and there was plenty of it after about 10,000-15,000 miles.
Just recently installed a set of Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetricos. Very happy with them so far, but have only a few thousand miles on them right now. So far, they are extremely quiet and grip seems to be similar to the Toyo's. However, the sidewall is not as good looking as the Toyo S/T or S/T II's. They are a little more rounded like a car tire, which some people may like better, but I preferred the square look of the Toyo's on a truck. It was more substantial looking tire and suited the X just about perfect. The Pirelli's don't look bad by any means, but I loved the way the Toyo's looked.
I wanted to replace my S/T's with S/T II's, which according to many people here are much quieter than the originals, but they didn't make them in my sizes. I considered the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta SUV's, but ultimately chose the Pirelli's hoping I could get longer life out of them and the fact that the Pirellis are not only slightly wider in reality, but visually as well due to the tread pattern of the Vreds. Keep in mind that all tires are not exactly the same width and height just becasue they are the same size.
So far, I would recommend the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetricos. I would also personally try the Toyo S/T II's if I could find them in my sizes based on the fact the only downside to the originals was noise and that issue seems to be resolved. I may very well end up putting Vreds on next time depending on feedback from the group buy peeps as they age or if the Pirelli's continue to perform well and hold up as long as I would like, I may stick with them next time.
Here is the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimettrico.
