Is there any way I can do this by myself by pushing some weird knob-combo on the dashboard or do I have to drop the car in at the dealer just to have this sensor reset? I'm not in for service in the coming months so no planned visit to the dealer in the near future...
Thanks.
Light sensor at top of windscreen? Are you sure this guy is talking about the right things? The "sun load sensor" is what determines when you headlamps come on or off. This is usually located on the dash somewhere up front in the middle. The sensor around the mirror I thought was just for the rain sensor (to regulate speed of wipers). I could be wrong, but if I'm not, I would just check they didn't put any goop (windshield adhesive) on the sensor always telling it that its dark outside. As for the rain sensor, your also suppose to put a new one of those on everytime you swap windshields.
