I gained an appreciation for european cars when I bought a 1991 9000CD as my first car in high school. Then I went into a 2003 Saab 9-3 Linear Launch Package. From there, went back a year to my first BMW '02 X5 3.0.
Now rocking a 2007 E70 X5 3.0i.
The 1991 Saab 9000 was a great car and felt european in terms of handling and design. The 2003 Saab felt like an American car (it was, GM)... BMW X5 felt European. And the E70 feel uniquely BMW in steering, but other areas don't feel quite as european as they used to. sorry for the rant
