peatun is on a distinguished road
Here's my update after dealing with this mess since June 25th.

EAS was excellent in offering me the chance to return the item!!

Dice was completely unresponsive through their online ticketing system or email. I ended up calling them and spoke with a helpful tech called Adam. He told me he would send me a label to return the 2nd unit (which I did) and said he was sorry I was not satisfied. I asked him to let me know in 2-3 days (before my RMA number with EAS was expired) if Dice would have a firmware update to fix my issue. He did email me on day 2 that it was out and should work. I updated the firmware that day and tried it out.

The issue is still there, however now it's a bit more usable as I can see a bit more of the text. Like Tom mentioned there is definitely some kind of data collision as it gets very jumbled if the nav screen swaps back and forth. I've decided to keep the unit and see if any further updates help my cause but for now I can at least see what artist is playing and my iPhone is playing my music so we're halfway there.

I do however have to say my displeasure of dealing with Dice Electronic and how terrible their customer service is! McDonalds has better service!!

I kept emailing the original tech "Manuel" for help and got no responses. I went a step further and kept asking for updates in my online tickets through their website. I guess they got sick of hearing from me and deleted my account as I can no longer log in... but they didn't respond to those either.

So my verdict... if you have a newer radio then go for it, but don't expect any tech support. If you have an older model like myself... RUN AWAY!
