Did anyone of you guys see the fight between Darcy Tucker (Leafs) and Cam Janssen (Devils)? If you didn't, it's your typical scrap with punches actually being thrown. Tucker's helmet is off and he grabs Janssen's off his head and tries to use it to hit Janssen in the head twice. He sort of hits Janssen's shoulder more than anything but he's clearly holding on to the helmet and clearly swings twice with it gripped in his hand.
The NHL announced that Tucker would be fined $2500 with no suspension. Does that seem right? Is it a light punishment because the outcome was without injury? Is it the conduct or intent that should be punished? I'm not trying to stir up a Bertuzzi/McSorely/Hunter debate. I'm just curious what other hockey fans made of it.
