I'm guessing your sticking with stock BMW parts for warranty reasons, but I used a Module Master on my X5 and it works perfectly fine. I didn't need any of the additional wiring stuff they "recommended" as all the wire lengths were long enough. Just throwing it out there if they can't figure it out for you.
