You really need to get a cylinder leakdown test done... Compression test is good to show you relative compression, but that's it. Leakdown test puts air pressure into the cylinder and tells you what percent is leaking out, and you can tell the area of the problem by where the air is leaking. You can hear if the air leak is coming out of the intake, exhaust, neighboring cylinder, oil fill cap, dipstick tube, cooling system, etc. By where the air is passing out of the cylinder you can tell if it is cylinder wall/rings, valve seats, valve guides, head gasket, etc.
