trapdoor is on a distinguished road
I think the antennae are a real compromise, even with diversity. I replaced my analogue tuner with a Hybrid as we have now gone DSO, but the performance of the tuner/antenna leaves a lot to be desired. We are in a very good/high signal area, but the BMW tuner is marginal on some of the multiplexes. As for using it whilst driving, then with digital, forget it unless you live practically next door to a main transmitter.

IMHO, there is no way you are going to be able to replicate a home TV setup which uses a high-gain, tuned 'in group' yagi mounted high up on the roof pointed directly at the transmitter, by using a pair of wideband 'in-glass' strip antenna at almost ground level. Try plugging a smallish set-top aerial into your TV and see what happens ... it's the same sort of problem with in-car TV.
