What would a 'better solution' be in your mind?

You must understand that manufacturers go to great lengths to make this tamper proof to avoid morons turning off the alarm and then a loved one accidentally getting in the seat with the disabled warning....

My Porsche, my Ford and my Acura all alarm forever. (Not sure about the M5, I think it is a visual alarm forever, never found out if the audible turns off.)

I put stuff on the floor since it is less likely to tumble with sharp stops. Or I position the belt to HOLD the item in the seat- in which case the connected clip solves the problem
