Absolutely NO way to disable. It's been researched by many. You can not find someone to reprogram even if it was possible, which I don't think anyone has confirmed. No dealer, certified shop would risk the liability and I'm not sure anyone else would know how. Buy a belt clip or enjoy the beeping

It does go away after a few minutes, not seconds.
