OK, but you're leaving out all the interesting stuff from the JDB install manual. First, the product is termed 'Beta' on the web site. Secondly, there is this item in the manual:

To increase the setting turn the JBD dial towards the MAX and to reduce the setting turn the setting towards the MIN. At the MIN setting the JBD will add around 25whp and at the MAX setting around 70whp. Many cars will throw plausibility codes and check engine lights at the higher settings. So do not deviate from the default setting unless you have access to a BT scanning tool to check/erase any codes you may trigger. So while it may be possible to get 60-70 whp, that apparently comes along with throwing codes and check engine lights, and is termed experimentation by BMS.
I am with ard in that I think it is safer to have the originally designed safeties present, and not simply bypassed by a piggyback. There are sure to be additional products out that take that approach. In the meantime, this looks reasonable if the adjustable dial is turned down (although I would get a few miles on it first, personally).
