So while it may be possible to get 60-70 whp, that apparently comes along with throwing codes and check engine lights, and is termed experimentation by BMS.

I am with ard in that I think it is safer to have the originally designed safeties present, and not simply bypassed by a piggyback. There are sure to be additional products out that take that approach. In the meantime, this looks reasonable if the adjustable dial is turned down (although I would get a few miles on it first, personally).
I think for now Ill keep it at the default setting...

Since BMW measures at the crank
Stock = 265 hp and 425 tq
at the default 50-60% level I should be
at = 315hp and 500 tq

for a $280 investment and not to throw any codes I think that's pretty good
plus wants it's no longer beta the upgrade should be free or a minor fee...

For now though it should be just fine....

Did the same thing with the JB piggy back with no issues
