I have Sports Seats, and I get your point regardless 'gibberish' :-) explaination.

A. Getting Seats is as easy as a DIY you need to unscrew I think 13" bolts that fixes the seat
B. But that "Knee Support" thingy if you check has a single spring that allow us to pull it forward (extend length of support) and realease it to shorten support, check if its not the one broken. Again there is a strap of metal frame where the spring hooks maybe its the frame thats broken.
C. The electric (memory) part of the seats has nothing to do with knee rests as they are operated manually (unless I have an inferior version!)... as far as I know they are manually operated by pulling it underneath your knees and releasing depending on the length you want then the rest move to gether with the seat as part of the memory/electric movements!

To summarize the seats are easy... one person can remove and put them back as long as you identy where the bolts are.
