You are hitting the pinch protection feature (perhaps.) I know the 2010 models came with an emergency close feature which overrides the pinch protection feature. Here is what the docs say about it:

1. Pull the switch beyond the resistance point and hold. The pinch protection system is limited and the window opens slightly if the closing force exceeds a certain value.

2. Pull the switch beyond the resistance point and hold again within approx. 4 seconds. The window closes without the pinch protection system.

This can be found on page 38 of the online manual.

Please do this at your own risk as this could potentially damage something in the window mechanism since there is tint material involved. I am just letting you know what the 2010 manual says about forcing the window to close.
