I would like to present my weekend project - home made X5 rear entertainment unit for my 2 little bosses, total cost AUD290

Monitor : 2 nos 9.2" LCD from ebay AUD180. modified a string to hook the monitor & tie it to the headrest.
Player : DVD, VCD, avi, mpeg ...... with front USB & SD card reader from ebay AUD110. try to install to the back of armrest where the 12V socket is, but found out the space is too narrow. modified a leg to the unit & place under the seat. connect A/C power from the 12V socket & a permenant +ve 12V from rear fuse box. connect the line out to "AUX in" in the centre console.
