Likely a couple of kids just arrived for university at UBC. Offshore family money. No proof, but that would be my best guess.
I think that crushing the cars is extreme, but I think they need to lose their licenses for longer than a week. I am hoping a one year driving suspension comes out of it. The news here has all been about the roadside penalties handed out and the impounding, but presumably there will still be a court appearance.
