What you have to worry the most about is keeping the rolling diameters of the tires the same size so you don't damage the drivetrain.

So, what I'm saying is if they don't make the EXACT factory replacement tire sizes you can try other size combinations - as long as they're the same overall diameter. In the case of my example, that combination should yield the same tire diameter of 28.6" if my memory serves me correctly.

For example, the stock 4.8 staggered tires are 275/40-20 & 315/35-20 but I use 265/45-20 & 295/40-20 now. I use this combination because I use aftermarket wheels that are 20" but not as wide as the stock. The important thing is that the tires have the same overall diameter.

Now going lower profile will compromise ride comfort and your speedo will not be as accurate too. You'll have to decide what you're willing to accept.
