I think it is risky to use anything other than the OE filter. Since there don't seem to be any published specifications for the filter (flow capacity, pressure drop, micron rating) any aftermarket filter that claims to be correct is probably just one that is the same physical size. It may work, or it may not. That seems to me to be pretty much a coin toss; if so you have a 50% chance of it working fine.
