I would talk to the foreman on the phone before you even waste your time going there to get the car, have him personally drive the car on the highway again after getting the brakes to full operating temperature before they try to give it back to you to ensure the main issue is fixed. And not to call you about it being done until he has personally confirmed that it is actually fixed. Remind them that you are not their quality control guy... As for the tires, if they are continentals they can be more prone to the rubber shredding away at the outer edge due to the rubber composition, and bridgestones are prone to wearing choppy causing noise and vibration... can't win for losing sometimes. I'd personally stay with the contiprocontacts for lack of a better option if that's what you currently have.
By chance did you save the alignment printouts from 10k mile ago?
