One week driving with broke CV Boot is not bad for the axle at all. There are two possible outcomes:
1. When they removed the axle they unbolted all control arms/sway/strut bars and break rotors/pad (not sure if they removed them) and reassembed all back incorrectly. I would like to check this too.
2. I am thinking they damaged your axle's bearing while hamming it out for install new CV Boot.
When I changed my CV Boot, I checked bearing and make sure all ring/nut work correct before installing the axle back to the truck.

im lifting it tomorrow for inspection, im really thinking that they didnt assemble it correctly and maybe even damaged the bearing when installing, someone told me that there brakes werent installed tightly and that it was making noise as well, i dont get a lot of noise really every now and then when i make a left turn ill hear quick little clunks, this is crazy too since all i wanted was to be proactive and replace the ripped boot
