Hey All,

I've been skulking on this forum for the past couple of years since I added an 05 X5 4.4 to the stable. I've been a long time Audi S4 and RS4 guy but have been going back to BMW over the past few years.

I really enjoy the X5 and I'm always surprised at just how nimble and quick this heavy beastie can be.

Thanks to all that post the DIY as well...I've spent long hours changing half shafts recently and the DIY postings certainly helped...we were even able to expedite the process in a few areas which we will share of course.

Very few problems on my X5 with the exception of the occasional lurching at 35mph which mysteriously goes away when I take it to the shop. The odd shudders under braking above 70mph...(and again, the posts here have helped narrow down the concern).
