Yes, it takes a really sunny day to get the effect, but we do get them pretty regularly here in central Illinois; probably wouldn't have done this if I lived in Seattle!. I almost waited for the 40d (I think it's supposed to come here next year sometime), but the $4500 rebate was too good to pass up. The diesel's acceleration from a stop is really amazing - the thing will throw you back in your seat in a way I've felt only with the 335i or M3. And this is for a 5200-pound car.
