- If you purchase the Active suspension (3500) you will get the self leveling suspension
- I cannot verify but it could be the difference between the sport vs non sport.
- I had an 07 mid summer build and it had a dozen or so gremlins. took about 1 year to get them all cleared out. If you get an 08 build, you will have access to options which were not available on a majority of theh 07 builds like Power tailgate and sunshades in the rear(if you want that option)
- E70 have the option of adding heated rear seats for $350. The heated rear does not come part of the Cold Weather Package.
I do feel the E70 is an overall better car and is much more refined than the E53 You will want to really test drive the E70 hard to understand the motor. You are moving from an Alpina based motor with matching HP numbers and personally i felt that this motor rivals the e70 for power so performance wise you may not notice the difference.
Personally i felt that the Power curve topped out before your trans knew what to do and always felt that when you really needed the power it took a while to bring it on. I am not talk drive by wire lag, I am saying mash the gas, trans downshifts to 2nd gear and revs to 5000-5500 rpm and there was no real power till the upshift at 6500. Once it grabbed third at 4krpm that you would feel the surge and once again drop off again at 5500. I have the new 50 and MAJOR IMPROVEMENT! The E70 is bigger and was noticeably larger but with active suspension it was an excellent ride. Overall I like the E70 over the E53 but the 4.6/4.8 was and awesome ride. One more thing... E70 color options are weak compared to is colors you could get.
