4.8 Suspension fault

Hiya, currently having a bit of trouble with my 4.8 X5 surrounding the self leveling suspension. Had a search on here and havnt seen anyone else experiencing the same problem after a battery change.

The car has been spot on, no problems at all until she wouldnt start for me one morning. Turned out to be a dead battery, so bought and installed a brand new Bosch battery. Ever since the battery change the dreaded 'self leveling suspension in-active' message has appeared.

Ive had the car checked out by my local dealer, who first of all replaced one the the sensors on the rear left. Still didnt sort it, and now ive been told the EHC unit is faulty. Been told it can cost in the region of £1700 to replace.

I cant see how a battery dieing can cause a height sensor and a EHC unit to also become faulty. I thought something just may need reset or re-calibrated.

Sorry for the long description . Just wondering if anyone on here can help me out as I dont think the dealer has been right so far and im not willing to pay £1700 for a new EHC for that not to fix it .

Also checked all the fuses after reading on here, they were all fine.
Thanks in advance
